More Than Meets the Eye (2003) #1–8

Writers: Adam Patyk and Brad Mick
Publication dates: April 30 – December 3, 2003

Dreamwave Productions' Transformers: More Than Meets the Eye was an eight-issue series of character profiles bookended by a two-page comic in which Megatron and Dinobot break into Vector Sigma to read all these useless profiles on historical figures that have nothing to do with them, and also to steal the Golden Disk. This doesn't seem to align at all with the theft of the Golden Disk depicted in Theft of the Golden Disk, but these stories were never intended to align, as they were produced by different companies and set in different continuities.

However, it's never stated in Theft of the Golden Disk (or in its direct follow-up, Dawn of Future's Past) where exactly the Golden Disk is being stored. Maybe it was in Vector Sigma, the ancient underground Cybertronian supercomputer whose location has been lost to history, all along and that fact just never came up in the other stories. It's not like all these other Beast Wars prequels fit together seamlessly anyway, so we might as well cram this one in here too. If we do, though, we have to deal with the fact that Megatron only now renames himself Megatron at the end of this very story, despite already being called Megatron in every Beast Wars tie-in set prior to this.

Neither canon nor continuity, but if it was it would take place here, concurrent with the end of Theft of the Golden Disk and the beginning of Dawn of Future's Past.
