How hard is it to get the Enterprise design right?

Why is it all of Disney's mediocre Star Wars productions are happy to honor the original '70s designs, but Star Trek: TOS has to get a design reboot after 50 years of visual fidelity?

They could have kept the Enterprise set and ship design exactly the same and just shot it with modern lighting, camerawork, and construction materials and no one would have a bad thing to say about it. Why do these people who don't like TOS keep doing stories set during TOS

Pretty wild that they would make a show as terrible as Star Trek: Discovery but also worry that the classic Enterprise design would alienate modern viewers.

Hey, CBS All Access, if you guys are making that Star Trek: Strange New Worlds show, can you fix the way the Enterprise looks? It looked the same for 50 years and then in Star Trek: Discovery it looked different for no reason.

Visual continuity has been a staple of Star Trek for decades. Presumably the Enterprise will be the primary setting of Strange New Worlds, so please change it back to the way it's been established to look in the time period of the show. Thanks! 😊
